Why hello there. My name is Cat, and I like anime. A LOT.
In fact, I like anime so damn much, I can be heard talking about it once a week on Nerd to Third Power, a nerdy little podcast over at ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com, where I also occasionally remember to write articles and reviews. My most popular articles are about anime conventions, which I have an absurd amount of experience with because...
I work for Anime St. Louis, a MO/IL based anime convention. Besides running a con, I've been an avid con-goer for about 10 years now, and I currently travel to cons around the Midwest promoting AnimeSTL.
Like every daydreaming fangirl, I'm trying to work my way into the anime industry as a VA, Writer, or Brand Manager. Not too long ago, I actually landed myself a stellar spot working for a small, new local production company called Anime Midstream as a writer and voice actress! The work is hard, but fun, and if the company takes off I may be doing this for awhile.
Clearly by my DA, I enjoy photography in my free time. I have exactly zero training a cheap digital camera, so I tend to just take snapshots of whatever I think looks nice, and hope that other people like them.
I'm not the best artist, so you'll probably never see any of my sketches here. The above picture was sketched and colored by two of my friends. Mucho love to them and anyone drawing fanart of the folks over at TGWTG!

Hey gang, it's that time of year where I actually update my journal. Yup, just once a year, meaning that it's almost convention time!
Anime St. Louis will be held April 23-25 at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, IL. Now, don't let the IL fool you, it's still part of the St. Louis area, and is pretty close to the city.
Last year Anime St. Louis had an attendance of over 1700 fans, and we're expecting up to 2000+ this year. We had artists from as far as Colorado come to be part of the Artist Alley. Now that the Artist Alley is open for applications, it's time to get the word out!

Okay, so maybe I'm just copying Kabelyero but I want to let everyone know about Anime St. Louis, a four-year growing convention that is currently looking to fill its Artist Alley. If you aren't busy around, oh say, the last weekend in March and are looking for a con to visit, take a look at our website! >w< We have pretty much the most awesome Artist Alley Coordinator (Crown Prince Kabelyero, Lord of the Awesome Sauce).
